We welcome new comers to our meetings but would strongly encourage everyone who has attended 2 or more events to become a full DAAS member. Application Forms and renewal forms will be available at the meeting or can be downloaded from our website. http://www.dorsetadultaspergerssupport.org.uk/member-intro The good news is that the membership fees remain the same at £5 single and £10 family rates pa.
Main Event
19:30 - 20:30 hrs
Expanding Friendships and Dating Etiquette –with Sandy Teal of SJ Teal Consultancy and MindSenseAbility Ltd . Sandy is a DAAS Director and her presentations are always popular and relevant to the concerns of people with AS/HFA. A common request she receives is for help in finding “that special person” and Sandy will be building on her previous talks about aspects of Social Communication to explore ways in which this can be successfully achieved. She will also look at some of the possible pitfalls. Aspects of the presentation are relevant also to some of the issues around maintaining a relationship with the special person once you have found them.
And finally ..... Time after the Main Event to circulate, chat, seek advice or offer help and generally catch up.
Note for first-timers At DAAS meetings you are welcome to join in and take part but you are also welcome to just listen & observe – whatever is comfortable
Grateful Thanks To all who come along to take part, support and share with each other or just to listen.
