  • 2020 Programme. We are planning our events for next year so please let us have your suggestions for topics, speakers, activities etc. Offers to organise or host an activity, a discussion or a meeting would be very welcome and you would be given full support.
  • The DAAS Group. Time to celebrate the completion of our second year operating under our new structure, run by our Committee, encouraging & supporting autistic people to contribute their skills and knowledge to the ongoing success of the group. We would welcome any offers to help and take part. Please speak to any of the Committee to find out more, or come and just observe at the next meeting.
Main Event c7.45pm Our December session is “Over to You”. Anything you can fit into 5 minutes - sing, tell a joke, read a poem, talk about a job or hobby. There is no pressure to perform and we do need an audience so please come and support this, whether or not you take part! Amongst us all we have a mass of interests, experiences and different abilities and for many it is difficult to find an opportunity to talk about or display them.
Please also bring a single plate/packet of food to share which you can take back with you if it is not finished.
And Finally ..... Time after the Main Event to circulate, chat, seek advice or offer help and generally catch up.
Confidentiality Please respect each others’ privacy and don’t discuss outside meetings who else attends or what they say at DAAS events, unless that person has given you permission to do so.
Note for first-timers At DAAS meetings you are welcome to join in and take part but you are also welcome to just listen & observe – whatever feels comfortable.
Can You Help? We still need help to continue running DAAS. If you can help in some small way please speak to us. Thank you
